Here is a tutorial of a Light Painting Orb created using steel wool done by the PhotoExtremist. Steel wool light orbs have grown popular because of the effects created when spinning the wool as it is lit on fire. The wool will slowly burn and disintegrate causing the illuminated particles of the wool to separate from the ball. Before attempting this make sure you are in an area free of dry brush and debris, and always have a bucket of water or hose nearby because this can get dangerous.
